Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Andy by Erik Parker was sold in the Post-War to Present auction at Christies in New York in September last year. The price achieved of USD 50,400.00 (€ 51,517.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Erik Parker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Big Time in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,654,000.00 (€ 433,808.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Andy von Erik Parker wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 51.517,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erik Parker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Big Time im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.654.000,00 (€ 433.808,22).
