Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Ain't Nothing But Sweat Inside My Hand by Erik Parker. The price achieved of GBP 38,100.00 (€ 43,749.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Erik Parker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Big Time in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,654,000.00 (€ 433,808.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ain't Nothing But Sweat Inside My Hand von Erik Parker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 38.100,00 (€ 43.749,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erik Parker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Big Time im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.654.000,00 (€ 433.808,22).
