Artwork auctioned at five times the pre-set estimate
When the work Jungle #4 Sentier dans la Brousse by Eric Manigaud was auctioned at VAN HAM in June 2020, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 1,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at EUR 5,206.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eric Manigaud; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Cologne 1, 1945 sold at auction in June 2018 with the realized price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,888.99).
Kunstwerk zum Fünffachen des Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Jungle #4 Sentier dans la Brousse von Eric Manigaud im Juni 2020 bei VAN HAM versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 1.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 5.206,00 mehr als fünfmal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Eric Manigaud; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Cologne 1, 1945 im Juni 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.888,99).
