Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Carnaval by Emiliano di Cavalcanti. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 75,000.00 (€ 66,779.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emiliano di Cavalcanti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Nude With Fish And Fruit in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,575,000.00 (€ 1,323,751.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Carnaval von Emiliano di Cavalcanti zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 66.779,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emiliano di Cavalcanti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Nude With Fish And Fruit im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.575.000,00 (€ 1.323.751,89).
