Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Autumn Morning - Fading Moon by Emil Carlsen for USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,543.41). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Discoveries at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Carlsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Pottery Jars in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 325,000.00 (€ 278,491.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Autumn Morning - Fading Moon von Emil Carlsen für USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.543,41) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Discoveries bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emil Carlsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Pottery Jars im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 325.000,00 (€ 278.491,86).
