This artwork by Emil Bisttram achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. In the American Art auction, the work Santa Fe Church sold for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,102.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emil Bisttram have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Storm Over Taos (Stormy Mountain Scene) in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 68,500.00 (€ 49,213.31).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Emil Bisttram erzielte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Santa Fe Church für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.102,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emil Bisttram auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Storm Over Taos (Stormy Mountain Scene) im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 49.213,31).
