A top price for Emil Bisttram - as previously expected
In December 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Storm Over Taos (Stormy Mountain Scene) by Emil Bisttram. It changed hands for a price of USD 68,500.00 (€ 49,213.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Storm Over Taos (Stormy Mountain Scene) is the most expensive artwork by Emil Bisttram that we have observed at auctions so far.
