Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2016 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Finger by Ellen Altfest. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,805.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ellen Altfest achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tree in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 80,500.00 (€ 61,875.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Finger von Ellen Altfest zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.805,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ellen Altfest erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Tree im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.500,00 (€ 61.875,48).
