Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Footballer, 1926 by El Lissitzky was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in October 2019. The price achieved of USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,645.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by El Lissitzky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-Portrait ('The Constructor') in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 947,250.00 (€ 1,099,444.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Footballer, 1926 von El Lissitzky wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.645,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von El Lissitzky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self-Portrait ('The Constructor') im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 947.250,00 (€ 1.099.444,42).
