Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eileen Quinlan could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open/NYC auction, the work Smoke and Mirrors 72 changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,444.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Other works by Eileen Quinlan have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2021 by the work Venus Mount, 2020 at USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,390.69).
