Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Smoke & Mirrors #91 by Eileen Quinlan for USD 882.00 (€ 763.50). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eileen Quinlan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venus Mount, 2020 in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,390.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Smoke & Mirrors #91 von Eileen Quinlan für USD 882,00 (€ 763,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eileen Quinlan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venus Mount, 2020 im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.390,69).
