In June 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Wahalla by Edwin Ruda. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,652.30) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edwin Ruda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Palisade, which sold at auction in June 2013 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,686.40).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wahalla von Edwin Ruda zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.652,30) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Edwin Ruda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Palisade beobachtet, die im Juni 2013 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.686,40) versteigert wurde.
