Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Pastoral Landscape by Edmund Darch Lewis was sold in the Interiors auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2014. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,065.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edmund Darch Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Newport Harbor, Twilight in September 2009 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 34,176.35).
