This artwork by Ed Templeton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in June 2012. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work The Brutality of Belief sold for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,704.08) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00.
