Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Selected Works from the Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers Corporate Art Collections, which included the work Atrabiliarios by Doris Salcedo. The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,500.00 (€ 34,923.90), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Doris Salcedo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 665,000.00 (€ 629,615.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Selected Works from the Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers Corporate Art Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Atrabiliarios von Doris Salcedo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 34.923,90) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Doris Salcedo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 665.000,00 (€ 629.615,60).
