Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Doormat: Welcome Back by Do-Ho Suh was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. The price achieved of USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,120.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Do-Ho Suh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Some/One in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 782,500.00 (€ 601,460.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Doormat: Welcome Back von Do-Ho Suh kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.120,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Do-Ho Suh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Some/One im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 782.500,00 (€ 601.460,42).
