Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Staircase by Do-Ho Suh was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. It changed hands for a price of HKD 138,600.00 (€ 15,351.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Do-Ho Suh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Some/One in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 782,500.00 (€ 601,460.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Staircase von Do-Ho Suh wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 138.600,00 (€ 15.351,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Do-Ho Suh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Some/One im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 782.500,00 (€ 601.460,42).
