Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Do-Ho Suh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work High School Uni-Form sold for HKD 2,125,000.00 (€ 241,886.89) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Do-Ho Suh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Some/One, which sold at auction in November 2012 for USD 782,500.00 (€ 601,460.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Do-Ho Suh erzielte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit High School Uni-Form für HKD 2.125.000,00 (€ 241.886,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Do-Ho Suh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Some/One beobachtet, die im November 2012 für USD 782.500,00 (€ 601.460,42) versteigert wurde.
