Sold at the upper estimate price
In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Myselves by Do-Ho Suh. The auction ended at the price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 32,869.03), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Do-Ho Suh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Some/One in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 782,500.00 (€ 601,460.42).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Myselves von Do-Ho Suh zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 32.869,03) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Do-Ho Suh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Some/One im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 782.500,00 (€ 601.460,42).
