Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Villagers) by Dinh Q. Lê was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in October 2019. The price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,567.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dinh Q. Lê - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (helicopter, Apocalypse Now, prayers), which sold at auction in April 2021 for USD 63,000.00 (€ 52,369.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Villagers) von Dinh Q. Lê wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.567,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dinh Q. Lê mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (helicopter, Apocalypse Now, prayers) beobachtet, die im April 2021 für USD 63.000,00 (€ 52.369,08) versteigert wurde.
