Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Retrato de Ángel Zárraga by Diego Rivera was sold in the Modern Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 94,500.00 (€ 88,062.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Diego Rivera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Rivals in November last year with an auction result of USD 14,130,000.00 (€ 13,687,881.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Retrato de Ángel Zárraga von Diego Rivera wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 88.062,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Diego Rivera erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Rivals im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.130.000,00 (€ 13.687.881,43).
