In November 2018 VAN HAM held the auction Modern | Post War | Contemporary, which included the work Queen Margrethe II. by Andy Warhol. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 21,930.00 46% above the estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte VAN HAM die Auktion Modern | Post War | Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Queen Margrethe II. von Andy Warhol zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 21.930,00 und damit 46% über dem Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
