This artwork by Diana Thater achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in April 2019. In the New Now auction, the work Two works: i) White is the Color ii) Zwirner & Wirth Exhibition Drawing 1/4 sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,449.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Diana Thater - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Perpetual Motion Two, which sold at auction in September 2010 for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 56,962.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Diana Thater erzielte im April 2019 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Two works: i) White is the Color ii) Zwirner & Wirth Exhibition Drawing 1/4 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.449,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Diana Thater mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Perpetual Motion Two beobachtet, die im September 2010 für GBP 49.250,00 (€ 56.962,85) versteigert wurde.
