Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Captain Beefheart'S Desert Trailer by Dexter Dalwood. It changed hands for a price of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,635.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dexter Dalwood - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Brian Jones' Swimming Pool, which sold at auction in February 2007 for GBP 144,000.00 (€ 213,474.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Captain Beefheart'S Desert Trailer von Dexter Dalwood zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.635,65) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 45.000,00 – 65.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dexter Dalwood mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Brian Jones' Swimming Pool beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für GBP 144.000,00 (€ 213.474,83) versteigert wurde.
