The work Façade of Versailles with scaffolding, France by Deborah Turbeville was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in April last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,764.00 (€ 1,674.10), 47% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Deborah Turbeville - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Versailles: Seventeen Images', which sold at auction in October 2017 for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,902.30).

Die Arbeit Façade of Versailles with scaffolding, France von Deborah Turbeville wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.764,00 (€ 1.674,10) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Deborah Turbeville mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Versailles: Seventeen Images' beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.902,30) versteigert wurde.
