Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Apple of My Eye by Deborah Roberts was auctioned at Christies in New York in September last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,700.00 (€ 57,957.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Deborah Roberts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work I Do Solemnly Swear (Nessun Dorma series) in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 275,000.00 (€ 243,643.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Apple of My Eye von Deborah Roberts kam im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 56.700,00 (€ 57.957,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Deborah Roberts auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit I Do Solemnly Swear (Nessun Dorma series) im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 275.000,00 (€ 243.643,13).
