Auction result well in line with expectations
The work If they come by Deborah Roberts was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in May this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 76,200.00 (€ 71,522.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Deborah Roberts - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work I Do Solemnly Swear (Nessun Dorma series), which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 275,000.00 (€ 243,643.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit If they come von Deborah Roberts wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 76.200,00 (€ 71.522,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Deborah Roberts mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit I Do Solemnly Swear (Nessun Dorma series) beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 275.000,00 (€ 243.643,13) versteigert wurde.
