Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Small Horse) by Deborah Butterfield was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. The price achieved of USD 50,400.00 (€ 41,331.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Deborah Butterfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Setsuko in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 442,900.36).
