Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Surface Stain 20 by Dean Levin was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2015. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,310.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dean Levin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work White Lines (Diptych), which sold at auction in February 2015 for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,853.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Surface Stain 20 von Dean Levin kam im März 2015 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.310,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dean Levin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit White Lines (Diptych) beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 25.853,47) versteigert wurde.
