Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Beautiful Suit) by David True was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2010. The price achieved of USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,016.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David True - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in July 2012 for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,233.05).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.016,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von David True mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juli 2012 für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.233,05) versteigert wurde.
