Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David True could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Rite of Passage III changed hands for USD 597.50 (€ 496.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by David True have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in July 2012 with an auction result of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,233.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David True konnte im Juli 2004 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit Rite of Passage III für USD 597,50 (€ 496,59) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David True auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.233,05).
