Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David True could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Promises Kept changed hands for USD 1,200.00 (€ 940.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David True - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in July 2012 for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,233.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David True konnte im Juli 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit Promises Kept für USD 1.200,00 (€ 940,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David True mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juli 2012 für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.233,05) versteigert wurde.
