Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
When this work without title by David Novros was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2017, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 3,500.00 but the actual price achieved was more than six times as high at USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,046.81). Admittedly, works by David Novros have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Barranca I in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 118,348.80).
Kunstwerk zum Sechsfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit ohne Titel von David Novros im September 2017 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – USD 3.500,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.046,81) mehr als sechsmal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Novros auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Barranca I im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 118.348,80).
