Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by David Novros was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in February 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,165.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Novros achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Barranca I in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 118,348.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von David Novros wurde im Februar 2018 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.165,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Novros erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Barranca I im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 118.348,80).
