Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Novros achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2017. In the The Collection of Paul F. Walter auction, the work without title sold for USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,930.50) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Novros have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Barranca I in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 118,348.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Novros erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Paul F. Walter wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.930,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Novros auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Barranca I im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 118.348,80).
