In April last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Untitled from Desire by David Levinthal. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,780.00 (€ 3,587.36), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Levinthal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' in October 2009 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 38,122.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled from Desire von David Levinthal zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.780,00 (€ 3.587,36) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Levinthal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 38.122,67).
