Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Selected Images from American Beauties by David Levinthal. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 5,073.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by David Levinthal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' in October 2009 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 38,122.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selected Images from American Beauties von David Levinthal zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.040,00 (€ 5.073,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Levinthal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 38.122,67).
