Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Levinthal could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art | New York auction, the work Selected Images (from 'The Wild West') changed hands for USD 5,292.00 (€ 4,675.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Levinthal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' in October 2009 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 38,122.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Levinthal konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York wechselte die Arbeit Selected Images (from 'The Wild West') für USD 5.292,00 (€ 4.675,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Levinthal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 38.122,67).
