Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Levinthal could be acquired at Sothebys in Paris in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Lorenz Bäumer Collectionneur ! auction, the work Selected Images (from 'Desire'), 1990 (4 works) changed hands for EUR 1,134.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Levinthal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' in October 2009 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 38,122.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Levinthal konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Lorenz Bäumer Collectionneur ! wechselte die Arbeit Selected Images (from 'Desire'), 1990 (4 works) für EUR 1.134,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Levinthal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 38.122,67).
