Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ernie Banks by David Levinthal was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2019. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,579.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Levinthal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' in October 2009 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 38,122.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ernie Banks von David Levinthal wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.579,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Levinthal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 38.122,67).
