A top price for David Johnston - as previously expected
In November 2000 Christies in London held the auction WILDLIFE ART, which included the work Green Winged Macaw by David Johnston. The price achieved of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,761.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Green Winged Macaw is the most expensive artwork by David Johnston that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion WILDLIFE ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Green Winged Macaw von David Johnston zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.761,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Green Winged Macaw das teuerste Kunstwerk von David Johnston, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
