Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lucian Freud by David Dawson was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in March 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,886.09). Admittedly, works by David Dawson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected Images of Lucien Freud at Work in October this year with an auction result of USD 12,700.00 (€ 12,017.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lucian Freud von David Dawson wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.886,09) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Dawson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected Images of Lucien Freud at Work im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.700,00 (€ 12.017,41).
