The work Hockney in Freud's Studio by David Dawson was sold in the Color & Scale: The Estate of Martha Hummer Bradley auction at Phillips in an online auction in September last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,670.00 (€ 5,795.77), 62% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Dawson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images of Lucien Freud at Work, which sold at auction in October this year for USD 12,700.00 (€ 12,017.41).

Die Arbeit Hockney in Freud's Studio von David Dawson wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Color & Scale: The Estate of Martha Hummer Bradley bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.670,00 (€ 5.795,77) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von David Dawson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Images of Lucien Freud at Work beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für USD 12.700,00 (€ 12.017,41) versteigert wurde.
