Despite a disappointment, a good price for David Parrish
When the work See The Jaguar by David Parrish was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 12,043.94). Despite this disappointing result, See The Jaguar is the most expensive artwork by David Parrish that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für David Parrish
Als die Arbeit See The Jaguar von David Parrish im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 18.750,00 (€ 12.043,94) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist See The Jaguar das teuerste Kunstwerk von David Parrish, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
