Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work See The Jaguar by David Parrish was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,637.97). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Parrish - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work See The Jaguar, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 12,043.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit See The Jaguar von David Parrish im April 2021 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.637,97) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von David Parrish mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit See The Jaguar beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 12.043,94) versteigert wurde.
