Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian stigmata The Juggler by David Boyd was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 40,800.00 (€ 23,816.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by David Boyd have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May last year the work Monoliths, 1962 was auctioned for AUD 51,045.00 (€ 47,567.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian stigmata The Juggler von David Boyd wurde im August 2008 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 40.800,00 (€ 23.816,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von David Boyd konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai letzten Jahres die Arbeit Monoliths, 1962 für AUD 51.045,00 (€ 47.567,79) versteigert.
