In November 2007 Sothebys in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Children And Angel In The Bush by David Boyd. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 32,400.00 (€ 19,517.65), 47% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Boyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monoliths, 1962, which sold at auction in May last year for AUD 51,045.00 (€ 47,567.79).

Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Children And Angel In The Bush von David Boyd zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 32.400,00 (€ 19.517,65) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von David Boyd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Monoliths, 1962 beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für AUD 51.045,00 (€ 47.567,79) versteigert wurde.
