Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Sprawling (and Mini Sprawl) by Dave Muller. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,876.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dave Muller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Beatle In Mercury'S Clothing in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 85,273.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sprawling (and Mini Sprawl) von Dave Muller zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.876,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dave Muller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Beatle In Mercury'S Clothing im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 85.273,79).
