Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ready to Wear by Dave Muller was auctioned at Christies in New York in August 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,256.70). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dave Muller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Beatle In Mercury'S Clothing in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 85,273.79).
