This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Daan van Golden have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Schilderij 1964 Recht van Voren Gezien (Painting 1964 Seen Directly from the Front) in November 2016 with an auction result of EUR 266,500.00.

Die Arbeit Heerenlux von Daan van Golden war einem Käufer im Juli 2018 GBP 32.500,00 (€ 36.439,65) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daan van Golden auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Schilderij 1964 Recht van Voren Gezien (Painting 1964 Seen Directly from the Front) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 266.500,00.
